Lead prices consolidated sideways in the late session last Friday, with SHFE lead under pressure at the 16,900 yuan/mt level [SMM Lead Morning News]

SMM August 11 News:

On Friday evening, LME lead opened at $2,007/mt, fluctuating downward during the Asian session. It continued to decline in the European session, reaching a low of $1,994/mt before rebounding to a high of $2,014.5/mt. It then pulled back to the $2,000/mt level for sideways trading before the close, ultimately closing at $2,003.5/mt, down $3.5/mt or 0.17%.

On Friday evening, the most-traded SHFE lead contract opened at 16,850 yuan/mt. After briefly touching a low of 16,820 yuan/mt at the start of trading, it rose to a high of 16,900 yuan/mt, then underwent a slight correction and traded sideways, ultimately closing at 16,870 yuan/mt, up 5 yuan/mt or 0.03%.
